Congratulations to Pannar’s winners in the Grain South Africa Grow for Gold National Yield Competition. Johann Pistorius from Standerton won the Maize Eastern Highveld category with a record-breaking 17.590 ton/ha planting of PAN 3A-124. Petrus Andreas Roux from Hoopstad won the Maize Water Table Region category with PAN 3R-224YHR yielding 11.730 ton/ha. Reimar Tratschler from Winterton won the Maize Irrigation category with 22.732 ton/ha off PAN 3R-724BR. Michael Daly from Virginia won the Sunflower Grain category yielding 4.009 ton/ha from PAN 7080.
Johann Pistorius was also runner-up in the Maize: Eastern Highveld category with a yield of 17.280 ton/ha from PAN 3A-124. Deon Bresler from Bultfontein was runner up in the Maize Water Table Region with 11.290 ton/ha off PAN 5R-591R. Gert-Jan van der Walt from Lichtenburg was the runner up in the Soybeans North West Region with a stellar 5.407 ton/ha from PAN 1521R, his first soybean crop ever.
Pannar is immeasurably proud of the performance of our genetics in this competition, but even more so to be associated with farmers of this top caliber.
