Johann and Yolandie Rousseau are excited about their beautiful wheat planting of PAN 3497

Johann and Yolandie Rousseau from the farm Vergenoeg near Delareyville, are excited about their beautiful wheat crop under irrigation. Johann planted his PAN 3497 on 16 July 2022 at 115 kg of seed per hectare. Cornel Ferreira, Pannar's representative in Delareyville, says Yolandie and her son Heinrich (photographed) have a special bond. He has been on a tractor since childhood and is very enthusiastic about farming.

PAN 3497 is a spring type wheat cultivar with a very good performance record under irrigation. Pannar's spring type irrigated cultivars can be divided into four growth classes: quick, medium quick, medium and medium late. The package consists of PAN 3681, PAN 3400, PAN 3584 and PAN 3497. PAN 3497 is the number one choice for early plantings with its medium late growth period. It has excellent yield potential at early planting and achieves top performances in the ARC Small Grain Institute's trials. It has a good stooling capacity, grading characteristics and tolerance to Stripe Rust. The cultivar is susceptible to Leaf Blight.
