PAN 4R-838BR in Fouriesburg

“PAN 4R-838BR produced a good yield of, on average, more than 10 t/ha in the vicinity of Fouriesburg in the Eastern Free State,” says Francis Grimbeek, Pannar's representative. It was planted at 32,000 plants per hectare.

PAN 4R-838BR is a medium-early stacked gene hybrid with second-generation stalk borer protection (MON89034) and glyphosate herbicide tolerance. It is a good choice for the eastern production regions. PAN 4R-838BR has an upright leaf growth habit, is single-headed in nature and produces thick ears with an attractive deep-orange grain. It has excellent standability.
