PAN 5R-891BR – Yield stability you can rely on!

Jacques Lubbe, Pannar's representative in the Klerksdorp/Coligny area, shares this good yield produced from white hybrid PAN 5R-891BR, on dryland in Gerdau. PAN 5R-891BR was planted at 24,000 plants per hectare.

PAN 5R-891BR, with the MON89034 stalk borer resistance genes, is a very stable performer with strong seedling vigour for good early plant establishment. It is widely adapted, has good drought tolerance and can compensate under good conditions due to its strong prolificacy.

The platform includes PAN 5A-291, PAN 5B-491B, PAN 5R-591R and PAN 5R-891BR. This medium-early platform is very prolific and particularly well adapted to the western production regions. The platform delivers very good performance on the high potential water table soils with a clay content of <10% in the topsoil.
