PAN 7180CLP planted directly after wheat near Hoopstad

A promising crop of PAN 7180CLP, planted directly after wheat, in the Hoopstad area. The wheat stubble protected the PAN 7180CLP seedlings well, ensuring that a good plant population was established. PAN 7180CLP was planted in 1.1m rows on 28 December.

PAN 7180CLP is a Pannar brand sunflower hybrid with the Clearfield^® Plus trait that performs head-to-head and even better than the conventional stalwarts, with the benefit of an alternative choice in weed control and crop rotation. It is based on the genetics of the well-known PAN 7080, which performs very well in the sandy soils of the western Free State.
