Pannar P3 White Maize Trial at Hoopstad

Hannelie Tait, Pannar's representative in Hoopstad, harvested her first P3 white maize trial near Hoopstad. PAN 5R-891BR produced an average of 7.7 t/ha. The control in the trial was PAN 5R-591R with an average yield of 7.69 t/ha over the trial. Other hybrids that also did well were PAN 4R-811BR (7.68 t/ha), PAN 5R-575R (7.57 t/ha) and PAN 5R-879BR (7.42 t/ha).

Pannar's team of agronomists and representatives test the very best hybrids, as well as promising hybrids, in Pannar's pipeline in the P3 trials. P3 stands for "Pannar Preferred Products". The purpose of this program is to make unbiased performance comparisons, that enable us to make accurate cultivar recommendations to farmers.
