The Wheat cultivar PAN 3161 looks impressive near Bultfontein

Martin Maartens, Pannar's representative in Bultfontein is very impressed with this beautiful planting of PAN 3161 in the vicinity of Bultfontein. AC van Wyk of ACH Boerdery planted the crop on 26 May at 27 kg seed per hectare.

Pannar's wheat package for dryland in the Free State consists of two true winter type cultivars PAN 3111 and PAN 3161, and an intermediate cultivar PAN 3373. This package maintains an excellent performance record in the Free State production areas.

PAN 3161 has exceptional seedling vigour and standability. The cultivar boasts a combination of good Russian Wheat Aphid and aluminium tolerance. Its seedlings grow vigorously, and it is a top choice on fields with a high wind erosion risk.
