Here is J van der Hoff, who farms between Coligny and Lichtenburg's beautiful planting of PAN 3541 under supplementary irrigation. Jacques Lubbe, Pannar's representative in Coligny, was so impressed with the promise of a good yield that he shared it via video. The wheat was sown at a rate of 100kg seed per hectare.
PAN 3541 is a medium growing season spring type cultivar, intended as Pannar's flagship under irrigation. If Pannar's spring type wheat cultivars are planted early, they can be planted at a lower seeding rate. The cultivars tiller (stool) very well. This reduces the seed cost and risk if an unexpected cold period is experienced. If the planting time is moved to the second half of the recommended planting window, up to 100 kg of seed per hectare is recommended.
